Hanna decided to change careers and was employed by our shipyard by applying for an open position in quality control. Her employment began in January 2017, and after four months, she was made the design manager of the design department.

Hanna’s job includes design resource procurement and allocation for different projects, monitoring of the progress of design work, monitoring of the working hours and costs of subcontracting resources, work supervision, and development of design processes and activities. Hanna can utilise her vast work experience in a completely new industry.

According to Hanna, the best part of the job is developing the work processes together with the team and helping others succeed and perform well. Hanna gets along well with her colleagues and she values Meyer Turku’s history as a family business. She thinks the shipyard industry and working at Meyer Turku’s shipyard is very interesting. Hanna says that the high volume of orders and our shipyard’s significant investments make the future more secure. In addition, Meyer Turku’s constant desire to develop and be among the best in the industry give a positive message to the employees.
