According to Aapo, his job as the area manager of engine rooms and decks in the outfitting organisation is interesting and diverse. Aapo is a supervisor responsible for his assigned engine rooms from design to delivery to the client and shipping company. His job also includes other responsibilities, such as various development projects and sea trial planning and monitoring.

Aapo feels that the long traditions of shipbuilding offer unlimited opportunities to people who are active, eager to learn new skills and interested in technology and engineering.
