Applying for work
Fill in an application
When you find an open position that corresponds to your skills and interests, fill in the application below and upload your CV as an attachment. After sending the application, you’ll receive an automatic e-mail confirmation. After the application period ends, the recruiting supervisor and a HR representative will review the applications and invite the most suitable applicants for an interview.
Interview
An applicant usually goes through one or two interviews involving the recruiting supervisor and an HR representative. During the interview, we try to determine the applicant’s suitability for the open position and the future work community. The interview situation is also an opportunity for the applicant to assess the appeal of our company in terms of their future.
Length of the application process
The length of the application process for different positions can vary for a number of reasons. It’s difficult to estimate the exact duration from the end of the application period to selecting the employee. However, we do contact all applicants either by e-mail or telephone after the recruiting process has been completed.
Open positions
Most of our job ads are in Finnish. Normally you will need some Finnish skills in those positions. If the job ad is in English, the working language in that department or team is English.
Pay and benefits
Working for Meyer gives you the opportunity to develop as a professional and advance in your career. We always observe the valid collective agreements when paying wages. Our wages fall into the mid-range for industrial employers, but the pay for an individual employee always depends on the task and the person’s experience. When a ship is completed on time and meets the quality criteria, a ship bonus can be paid to the entire shipyard personnel. Employee well-being is important to us, and we support our employees’ physical exercise and culture hobbies. Several recreational clubs also operate at Meyer Turku.
